The Track Parser is best described as a way to get data from a trip you have tracked using any number of GPS tools and apps, whether you use a watch, phone, or dedicated GPS like a Garmin InReach. After your trip you import the track file into the Track Parser, and then break up your trip into legs much like you do with a trip plan and the Track Parser will give you your Actual: time, distance traveled, weather data, average angle, amongst other data points for each leg after you complete your trip. The data comes out as a Excel Spreadsheet, a .kml file that will open up in Google Earth, and a formatted .geojson that will open in Caltopo. To get a feel for the data you get here is a Caltopo Map of the approach to the North Face of Shuksan https://caltopo.com/m/1SHHE. This map was made by importing the Geojson file the Track Parser created into Caltopo. You can click any line and get some of the data, the Red Lines are the areas we stopped.
